Something Awesome...The Aftermath?

Hey all
Thanks for coming out to Something Awesome. I don't have all the details yet, but in all appearances it seems to have been a SICK event! Be sure to give your Staff members and Officer corps a hand for getting this together. Also, thanks to all the new members for stepping up their game! Contributions such as Isabel's and Jordan's, and all of those who helped set up and breakdown (too many for me to remember right now!) definitely helped make this event what it was, so give yourselves a hand, too! More accolades and information will come during the meeting on Tuesday, 10/27/2009, so be sure to show up and celebrate a successful event with the rest of us!

Something Awesome...and More!

Hey guys!
Something Awesome is just around the corner, and we are really burning the midnight oil to make things run smoothly. Your Staff and Officer Corps have put a lot of time and effort into making this event happen. So it's everyone elses turn to step up and help out!
First off, let's keep flyering! Everyone is doing a great job with this, and we have until Friday to keep spreading the word! We had 10,000 flyers, and we've already distributed thousands of them, so keep up the good work!
Secondly, we need help on the actual day of the event. Look here for extra information (you need to log in to the forums in order to actually see this post): click here
Next, we need help setting up and breaking down the event. Setup is at 3:45 pm on Saturday, and breakdown will begin at 2:00 to 2:15 am on Sunday, and will go for however long it takes. Remember though, the more people who help out, the faster this event gets put together and wrapped up. As a note, all people who are spinning at the event need to be present for setup and breakdown.
In other news, we've been selected as the official DJ/music provider for Triton Tide (the Athletics organization) on campus. Our first event will be 10/30/2009, at a tailgate party for the soccer game. More information will be given at the meeting next Tuesday, so come check it out!

Hey guys
To recap this week:
Thanks to all those who came out for Library Walk on Thursday, especially the new members! It was a success, and we generated a lot of publicity for Something Awesome. I hope all of you who came out had fun spinning and just kicking it in front of Geisel!
Also, good job to those who helped out and ran the Round Table event. It featured the debut of our new mixer, which I haven't really tried out, but have heard good things about!
In website news, the new Events Calendar is up. It's accessible from a link at the top of the Events page. Also, on the training page, we posted the email addresses of three of our trainers.
Keep rockin it out there!
